Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) C-47 Dakota, Hurricane Mk IIc and Spitfire PR.XIX, at Brussels South Charleroi Airport on Friday 3rd June. Photos: Henri Verstrepen We’re grateful to Aeroplane reader Henri Verstrepen for sending us a selection of images of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Spitfire PR.XIX, Hurricane Mk IIc and C-47 Dakota at Brussels South Charleroi Airport on Friday 3rd June. The three warbirds, originally scheduled to stage at Frankfurt en-route to the Pardubice Aviation Fair held in the Czech Republic over the weekend of the Sat 4 and Sun 5 June, arrived at Charleroi (EBCI) without publicity and Henri writes: “…everybody was delighted to have such marvellous machines on the airfield. I never saw so many people on the control tower balconies!” The BBMF’s display at Pardubice was their first in the Czech Republic.
