At Van Nuys Airport, California, USA, four of the Raytheon Flight Test Operations fleet of Douglas A-3 Skywarriors were broken up in September. The aircraft were operated on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command. One A-3 is scheduled to be flown to the museum at US Navy Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, and the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola has expressed interest in one of the other remaining examples.
