Red Bull P-38 completed
March 1, 2008
After a three-year restoration by Ezell Aviation at Breckenridge, Texas, Lockheed P-38 Lightning N25Y was due to fly at the end of February. Once its test schedule is complete, N25Y will be transported to Salzburg, Austria, to join the Flying Bulls Collection, an offshoot of energy drinks company Red Bull. The aircraft was previously the legendary White Lightnin', flown by Lefty Gardner of Confederate Air Force fame during 1963–2001.
