Dolphin on show at Cosford

At Raf Museum Cosford, the Michael Beetham Conservation Centre will be open to the public from November 15–20, allowing a rare chance to view the museum’s Sopwith Dolphin restoration project. The reconstruction includes many original parts, including a tailplane and elevator, fuel tank, radiators, and a 6ft length of rear fuselage. It is hoped that the Dolphin will be ready for display at Hendon in 2011.

Other projects available for viewing will be Handley Page Hampden P1344 and Vickers Wellington X MF628, which is currently being stripped down following its arrival from Hendon during July.
